Secret Stays – The Bastide de Brurangere
A friend stayed here before and after attempting the ascent of Mont Ventoux. It’s not a typical hotel, there are only five rooms, three of which are suites, there’s also a small villa to rent which sleeps 8. There’s a communal kitchen, large grounds, and great views of the white giant of Provence. My friend succeeded in the ascent, and was grateful for the luxury of his bed at the Bastide afterwards. Room prices start at around €200 per night.
For those not keen on cycling up Mont Ventoux, the Bastide is located in the heart of Provence wine country. A vineyard tour with Celine Viany is an enjoyable way to spend a day. Alternatively for those not so keen on tours try a visit to Chateau Pesquie. The vineyard is located in beautiful Provencal countryside, and the tasting room is set in sumptuous formal gardens.
