Where?

Walk from the fountain at the bottom of the Cours Mirabeau up towards the statue of good King Rene. Take the first road on your left onto Rue Espariat, look for number 32 just past the church.

What’s on offer?

An excellent choice of starters, main courses and desserts. No annoying supplements for filet steak and foie gras. Click on the menu picture below for full lunch menu.

Why go?

Central location on the Rue Espariat which runs parralel to the Cours Mirabeau. Inventive great value menu served professionally. Quality ingredients, top chef.

Stone arches reminiscent of a cave, cool in the summer, warm and cosy in the winter.

Wine?

House wine at 6 euros a glass, rising to 9 euros for a Sancerre. Extensive wine list.

Who goes?

The Aixoise, looking for a good inventive food, efficiently served

We ate:

26 euro set lunch for starter and main course. Foie Gras and Roast Lamb with Harissa
