In the centre of the village, opposite the large parking used for the Sunday market, in a shady square, next to a fountain
What’s on offer?
Provencal cooking, competitively priced, quality ingredients
Why go?
The setting is idyllic underneath a plane tree with a trickling fountain right next to the tables. Calm compared with nearby touristy villages of Lourmarin and Cucuron.
Wine?
House wine at 2euros a glass and a small selection of local vineyards
Who goes?
Villagers and second home owneres
We ate:
14 euro set lunch: Aubergine, veal and cheese and tomato sauce starter, followed by Confit de Canard, and a pannacotta dessert
The verdict:
Best value for miles around.
